After an event, everyone should feel the glow of success: the event’s goal has been met, the attendees enjoyed themselves and the stage is set for more progress. And because we’ve managed all the details, you were able to be a guest, too! Click on these examples of large and small events we’ve successfully organized.

Launch Party for Health Care Organization

When a Portland optometric group built its own facility, staff at Public Relations Services organized a construction party, complete with invitation on blueprint paper and food and favors in construction hats – and we did it all long-distance! Our detailed instructions even explained how to safely transport helium balloons.

Communications for a Major Event

The 2012 Olympic Trials – Track & Field, held in Eugene, was Marilyn’s personal steeplechase, pole vault and 100-meter dash! Before and during this high-profile event, she was the community relations and media relations contact, working successfully with UO and TrackTown12 staff as well as neighborhoods, businesses, the City of Eugene and LTD – plus local and national media.

Organizing a Dinner Event

When the University of Oregon School of Journalism and Communication held its Hall of Achievement induction, we developed the invitation and added credit card payment; created a decor that hotel staff declared, “The best we’ve ever seen”; developed video profiles of the honorees; wrote copy and sold ads for a keepsake booklet; and provided on-site supervision.

Organizing a Reception

We organized Serenity Lane‘s 25th anniversary “garden party,” creating everything from photo displays to decorations and handling everything from music to city parking permits to scripts for speakers. The successful work by Public Relations Services on this reception set Serenity Lane on the path to another great 25 years!

Organized and Efficient

“Marilyn Milne did a fantastic job of enterprising and communicating TrackTown 2012 story ideas and information to me. Once we picked a story, she quickly scheduled the interviews and provided the necessary background. She was equally enthusiastic and helpful whether it was information she needed to get out to the public or a story that I enterprised. It was obvious that she was extremely organized and efficient.”

Kris Seibel, TV assignment editor
