Launch Party for Health Care Organization

When a Portland optometric group built its own facility, staff at Public Relations Services organized a construction party, complete with invitation on blueprint paper and food and favors in construction hats - and we did it all long-distance! Our detailed instructions even explained how to safely transport helium balloons.

Oregon Optometric Association Campaigns & Client Services

Legislative Campaign

The Oregon Optometric Association wanted legislators' attention. Public Relations Services created a series of low-cost, low-tech postcards, each with a unique style, color, size and content, and mailed once each week to legislators' homes before the session began. A similar set went to targeted media. Result: open doors and media coverage, and the bill passed.

Capitalizing on News

Willamette Family's Buckley House nurses were first on the scene of a tragic accident. Their experiences made a good follow-up story to the main news, and Public Relations Services made sure the article was a focus on their professionalism and compassion. The resulting top-of-the-front-page story was a good reflection on Willamette Family and its staff.

Employers Health Alliance Ads

Ad for Healthcare Group

Staff at Public Relations Services worked with EHA's designer to create inside-front-cover half-page magazine ads that were definitely not "business as usual." We suggested graphic elements, layouts, checked for details like complete images and font sizes/types, and supervised production. Ole Blue and his compatriots were a howling success!

Advice and Counsel

Kaiser Permanente hired Marilyn Milne to provide local advice and counsel. As its PR manager says, "(She) has been an essential guide assisting Kaiser Permanente’s entrance into Lane County." Counsel, community relations and media relations continue. It's a healthy relationship!

Social Services Website

Our client, Parenting Now!, grew a new website with our assistance. We raised the site to new capabilities: more content; rotating slides; easy-to-find information; a clean, modern style; and search engine optimization.

Community Relations

Serenity Lane’s plan to build an in-patient treatment facility in Coburg required rezoning of the site. Neighbors had fought other businesses' plans but Marilyn Milne improved communications with them, and the rezoning was approved. Marilyn won a Grand Award in the 2008 APEX national competition, with a judge saying, "Wow. An impressive example of how a public information campaign should be run." Marilyn provides other PR services for Serenity Lane, such as counsel, media relations and arranging speaking engagements.

Sanipac Website

Website Redevelopment, Maintenance & Support

With three weeks until its launch, we stepped in to finish the Sanipac site's first upgrade. Our goal was to create a user-friendly site with search engine optimization. Public Relations Services staff managed the site through two more revisions and eight years of site revisions and real-time edits.
